WHO THEY ARE & WHAT THEY DO

They are not a shelter – They rescue FROM shelters. Therefore they do not have a central location where their dogs are homed together. Their dogs are in private fosters homes receiving day to day care by caring volunteers, who teach them to live in a home environment. This also means they do not have an office or regular business hours.

Barks of Love is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization staffed ENTIRELY by volunteers. They consider theirselves an independent, “grass roots” type of an organization making a difference one dog at a time. Established in 2008 by Ashley Greenspan, they’ve been helping the community save over 400 dogs as of late 2010.

Social networking websites are great! Admit it, we never managed to keep in touch with our friends so well before them. It's easy now to send a message with one click (the famous Like button can say a lot) and we can let our friends know about our whereabouts by doing fun stuff, like uploading photos, commenting on other photos and tagging.

Just like kids are happy to see the Christmas tree decorated, we are happy to present you with the winter holiday look of PetTalez. We hope that you enjoy it and that it will inspire you to post your good wishes for the end of the year and the year to come.

We are happy to announce all our users that we've managed to finally implement a new feature, which was very necessary for PetTalez: updates frequency.

PetTalez Gives Back has been extended. Because PetTalez was down for renovations, we have decided to extend PetTalez Givez Back through June 30, 2011.

In a continuing effort to help our precious furbabies, PetTalez is proud to announce the details of our greatly anticipated contest, PetTalez Gives Back. Beginning April 1st, and continuing through June 30, 2011, PetTalez is going to donate pet food, and or supplies, to 3 memberz favorite pet charities or shelters. Here are the details and rules of the contest.

As is the case with most rescues, Save A Kitty, Inc. was founded on the basis of personal experience. Most anyone with an ounce of compassion could not have stood by without intervening while a tiny, helpless kitten was being unmercifully swept into a dustpan, only to be discarded into the trash. This was 14 years ago and the kitten (aptly named Dusty) is still with us.

Did you ever wonder where does the name Mozilla Firefox come from?

Well, Mozilla recently posted on their Facebook page the source of their inspiration: two red panda cubs that they have. The red panda are also known as fire-foxes, hence the name of the beloved browser.
