My 3 year old ferret is losing a lot of hair..esp. down the back and tail..any idea as to what could be causing this? Molly eats and drinks..not "acting" ill...

Hi Gina
I am not a ferret expert and recommend you see your vet. Ferrets do get fleas and that is something you could check for easily.
Comb him on a white towel and if little black specs that look like pepper end up on the towel-they are flea feces. If you add a drop of water,
they will turn red as flea feces are dried blood.
