Blogs are collections of articles with a personal touch, where one can express his beliefs and opinions on various topics. The word "blog" comes from "web" and "log", because a blog is, in fact, an online journal.
PetTalez allows you to have multiple blogs, so that you can you can separate, let's say, your personal blog from the blog in which you write about your pet. Articles in blogs on PetTalez can be categorized into available categories, making it easier for other users to find similar articles.
The blog management on PetTalez is done through the profile, from the "Blogs" tab. Here you can add a blog, view posts (or articles) in a blog and manage them.
To add a new blog, you will see a link under the "Blogs" title on the tab with the same name which says
"Add a blog". Clicking this link will take you to the blog creation form that will allow you to add a new blog. Fill in a blog title and a blog description and press "Save". Your blog title will be displayed as the title of the page on the blog's page. The description, along with your profile photo will make the header of the page and the articles will follow.
To see the blog's page and to be able to add new articles to your blog, click on the "View posts" link of the chosen blog in the blog table. If there is no article in your blog, you will be prompted to add one. If the blog has other articles, you can add more articles by clicking the "New Post" link under the blog title.
On the post (article) form, choose the blog to add the post to, choose a category, fill in a title and start writing your article. You can format your article using the options available in the word editor (which are very similar to those commonly used in desktop word editors).
To insert an image into your article, use the corresponding button below the editor. It will display a
window inside which all your images will be displayed. You can use this window to upload images as well. Choose an image by clicking on it and press "Insert".
If you want to break your article into an introduction (or a teaser) and an article body (which will only be displayed when the "Read more" link is clicked), you can press the "Read more" button after placing the cursor at the desired position inside the article body. A red line will appear to delimit the parts. Place the cursor before the red line and press the "Delete" key to remove the separator.
Save the article and you will be able to see it on your blog. That's it!
