Pet lovers community

I've loved animals all my life, an interest  instilled in me by my father. My dad was a 'dog person,' but he would tolerate cats, though we never had any when I was growing up. I have had several dogs over the years, both in childhood, and in my adult years. Now, however, we have 4 cats.  All our kitties are rescues of one sort or another, having been adopted either from rescue organizations, or from a feral cat’s kittens, and in the last case, the cat found us! 

  I do not claim to be an expert on anything—only a person who loves animals, and has a strong empathetic connection with them. People who mistreat animals make me both ill and extremely angry.
